If you’re an existing customer moving within PG&E’s service area, you can stop service on your current home and start service on your new home in a single transaction.
In most cases, you can start or stop service on the same day you complete your request—or arrange for service up to 60 days in advance.
If you’re new to PG&E, requesting new service takes only a few simple steps:
NOTE: If your new service requires a deposit, you may be able to have it waived. Follow the steps under In Lieu of Deposit.
If you’re a current customer who’s moving within our service area, follow the steps under “Moving to another address served by PG&E,” below.
