Non-emergency hours for PG&E’s customer service number change October 1, 2017

Effective October 1, PG&E's hours for 1-800-743-5000 will change. This will help us provide better, more efficient service for all of our customers—without compromising safety. The benefits include shorter wait times, plus improvements in customer experience and satisfaction during peak call periods.


The new non-emergency hours will be:

  • Monday–Friday:
    • Regular business hours: 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Saturday:
    • Regular business hours: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sunday and after hours:
    • 24-hour availability for emergencies and automated customer service
